If you hear or see a marmot (or more than one) when out hiking, simply record the following information:-

• How many different animals at the one location
• Where you hear or see them. Try to be as specific as possible.

  •  Locate the latitude and longitude on a map when you get home (name the trail etc.)
  • Report if animals seen or heard
  • Record the date
  • Please try to avoid counting the same animals more than onece
